Overview

Full-service holiday lighting is the annual cycle of design → install → in-season service → takedown → labeled storage. You approve the look; we handle every ladder, cord, and clip for the season.

It's the right choice for homeowners who love the tradition of a bulb-and-clip Christmas display, don't want to make a permanent investment, or have a home where permanent LED doesn't yet make sense.

This guide covers what commercial-grade lighting actually is, how professional installs differ from a Home Depot box, what the season looks like from your side, and where holiday lighting overlaps with permanent LED.

What it is

The basics, plainly.

The full service is bigger than most homeowners realize: measurement and design, custom-cut runs of commercial-grade lights, clean install with gutter-safe clips, mid-season service for any outages, takedown scheduled for a warmer day after the new year, and off-site labeled storage until next November.

Commercial-grade means the bulbs, sockets, and wire are built for repeated seasonal use — thicker jacket, sealed sockets, brighter bulbs, and connectors that don't fail after one January.

Custom-cut means we build your runs to your rooflines, not a fixed 25-foot strand you loop until it runs out. Every peak, gable, and dormer terminates cleanly.

How it works

Under the hood.

Design that fits the house

Not every roofline wants the same treatment. Steep peaks, long low ranch rooflines, and wraparound porches each need different bulb choices and clip strategies. A one-size hang is why so many DIY jobs look uneven from the street.

Clips, not staples

Professional installs use plastic clips rated for shingles/gutters/soffits — no staples, no nails, no shingle damage. Different clip for every surface.

Custom-cut runs

We measure, then build the strand to your run. Waste is minimized, transitions are hidden, and every jump between roof planes is engineered instead of improvised.

In-season service is part of it

Bulbs go out. Storms happen. Squirrels chew. The whole point of hiring a service is that when something goes dark in mid-December, we come fix it — no extra call, no ladder for you.

Takedown and storage

After the new year we return on a warm-enough day, take everything down carefully, label your bins by run, and store them off-site. Your garage stays yours.

Options

What we install.

C9 warm white

Classic large-bulb outline on rooflines, most traditional look, most impact from the street. Our most-requested style.

Multi-color C9 / C7

Traditional red/green/blue/gold. Reads warmly at night, especially against snow.

Mini lights

Small bulbs for wrapping trees, garland, porch posts, and railings. Warm white or multi.

Icicle lights

Hung along gutters and eaves for a snow-and-ice look. Best on ranch and low-eave homes.

Wreaths & garland

Full custom greenery on doors, columns, and railings — bows, ribbon, and lit or unlit.

Tree wrapping

Trunks and lower branches wrapped in mini or C9 lights. High-impact addition to any front-yard display.

Self-serve from an app after install
  • Bulb warmth of C9/C7 sockets
    RGBW pixels approximating warm white
  • Seasonal-only display
Accent light every night of the year
  • Annual ladder work by us
No ladder work after year one
  • Physical bulbs on the house Nov–Jan

Warranty & support
  • Traditional bulbs aren't warrantied against outage — they're consumables. But mid-season service to fix outages is included on every full-service install.
  • Storm and weather damage during the season is covered by the service call.
  • Storage is included through the off-season. Bins are labeled per run, returned to your property next November.
  • Many clients eventually switch to permanent LED after several seasons — we credit that experience against a permanent install.
FAQ

Frequently asked.

Do I need to be home for install?+

No. Most installs happen while you're at work. We only need power access.

Can you decorate my business?+

Yes. Retail storefronts, restaurants, and offices are a big part of our commercial season.

What if I already own lights?+

For smaller projects in good condition, yes. For big installs we prefer commercial-grade — DIY strands fail mid-season and no one wants that in December.

Do you do interior lights or trees?+

We focus on exterior lighting, garland on doors/columns, and outdoor tree wrapping. We refer indoor tree work to partners.

Can you combine with my existing permanent LED?+

Absolutely — many clients run their permanent LED as color/warm-white base and add traditional wreaths, garland, and tree wrap for texture.

What's the cancellation policy?+

Deposits secure the slot. Cancellations before install month refund minus a design fee. After install, the season is billed.
